Climate Discovery Exhibit at NCAR

A visit to NCAR's Climate Discovery Exhibit tells the story of Earth's past climate and how it has been constantly changing since Earth began — long before human beings were around to study it. How do we know what Earth and its climate were like in prehistoric times? Visit our Climate Discovery exhibit to explore the clues to past climate from the Earth itself — ice frozen for millennia, fossilized plants, tree rings, and other artifacts that scientists analyze in many ways.

In Climate Discovery's "Climate in the News," see consequences of large-scale changes in the Earth system due to human activities — from warming land surface and ocean temperatures to changes in hurricane intensity and more.

In the exhibit's "Climate Future" series, learn about computer models and how they simulate climate, listen and view NCAR's climate experts in the video, Climate Future: Voices of Science, and explore strategies for reducing global warming and for adapting to a warming world.

If you're unable to visit the Mesa Lab Visitor Center in person, no worries! Explore the wealth of content NCAR provides online at our Understanding Climate Change site.
